Fundraising Tips From Good Ol’ George Washington

Know the old saying of ‘losing a battle, but winning a war?’ Our fundraising is, ultimately, like a war. It’s an ongoing long process with small victories along the way. How can we keep forward momentum when the end is not in sight?

Like Washington, we have to move on, ready for the next obstacle. That’s not to say we can’t celebrate victories. In fact, we should set each fundraising campaign as a milestone. Then, we clearly state where we are and where we want to be.

This makes for a clear vision of the future. We can celebrate when we hit those milestones, but continue on with our progress.
