When marketing a child’s toy you have to make it appealing to both the child and parent. To the child, it needs to look fun, with bright colors and attention-grabbing graphics. To the parent, it needs to look educational (and ideally silent—although somehow kids seem to always pick out the loudest battery-operated toy trinket that they claim they can’t live without).

Your fundraising marketing plan needs to appeal to two unique groups as well: the donor and the recipient. Both the giving of the gift (on the donor’s end) and the receiving of the gift (on your beneficiary’s end) need to be taken into account. And their needs are different.
