Randy Hawthorne is the co-founder of Nonprofit Hub, and serves as the Executive Director and Publisher of the organization. He’s spent his entire adult life in marketing, as well as volunteering and serving on the boards for various nonprofits—and now he runs one. As Publisher and Executive Director for Nonprofit Hub, and a Professional Certified Marketer, Randy shares his passions of marketing and education with nonprofits to help them implement marketing and organizational leadership principles so they can grow their organizations.
Randy lends his marketing and organizational leadership expertise to a number of nonprofits in his community, including the American Marketing Association, Lincoln Community Playhouse, Rotary Club #14, Sheldon Art Association, Community Services Fund, Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters, Leadership Lincoln and Launch Leadership. Outside the office, Randy works with high school and college students and mentors young professionals to develop their leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
Randy is a Professional Certified Marketer, and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, which he is putting to good use at Nonprofit Hub. Randy is also a graduate of the prestigious Disney College Program, where he proudly worked for the Mouse for a summer.
In addition to our educational publication, Nonprofit Hub is also a coworking and collaboration space that provides local nonprofits with a place to build a foundation, collaborate and grow—of which Randy oversees as well. It’s difficult to hide Randy, as you can hear his laugh from across the building, where he’s no doubt chatting up the organizations he’s helped off the ground and provided guidance to.
Randy is very much the face and voice of Nonprofit Hub. Though he’s much more than a face for radio, Randy is the host of Nonprofit Hub’s webinar series and podcast, which both feature top thought leaders in the nonprofit sector.
