What Type of Fundraising is Superior—Online or Offline?

It’s not often that we’ll tell you that A is better than B. Most of the time we’ll dance in the gray space and tell you that certain nonprofits are an exception to the rule.

This isn’t one of those times. In this day and age, online fundraising has several notable advantages over offline.

First and foremost, it’s more cost effective. Cutting down on printing costs and eliminating the use of direct mail can save your organization thousands of dollars. Emailing costs pennies and can have a huge return if implemented properly.

Next, it’s fast. You can send out emails and get responses quickly. Within about 48 hours of your email campaign, you’ll have statistics to pour over. Direct mail can take up to a few weeks before you have any idea how effective it was.
