About the Presenter

With over a decade of proven fundraising experience and a love for data, Jonathan serves nonprofit partners as a consultant for The Timothy Group. As The Timothy Group’s in house data expert, Jon works with clients to help them assess their digital fundraising tools, improve their communications, and implement data-based strategies to improve fundraising and organizational effectiveness. Prior to working for The Timothy Group, Jonathan’s previous work included owning and operating a fundraising consulting firm, serving as the Advancement Director for All Belong Center for Inclusive Education, and working as the Development Director for Jubilee Centers International. He also holds both the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and ECRF (Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy) designations and has a bachelor’s in business and finance from Grand Valley State University. Jonathan has written articles as well as presented to local and national organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (West Michigan), Do More Good, Nonprofit Hub and the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance. Jon resides in Grand Rapids, MI with his wife, daughter, and son. When not working with nonprofit partners, you can usually find Jonathan fixing up his 1930’s Tudor-style home or traveling with his family to national parks.
