A Dollar a Day for Your Nonprofit’s Pay

A Dollar a Day for Your Nonprofit’s Pay

From the creator of Kickstarter comes a new crowdfunding site specifically for nonprofits called Dollar a Day.

It works like this—donors sign up to donate $1 per day, and the service. It automatically charges participants $30 at the end of each month. But Dollar a Day predetermines the organization that will be featured each day.

At the time of this post, 840 people have signed up to participate. That means if your organization is featured, you’ll receive $840 dollars. Every dollar counts, but the site has a ways to go.

Currently, the potential that Dollar a Day offers is the most exciting aspect. Besides the $840, if your organization is featured you’ll be the topic of an email that goes to each pre-registered donor. That’s free marketing for your organization. And just because they’re only giving a dollar now doesn’t mean they’re sticking to it. You have the opportunity to further engage them with your message which could lead to more donations in the future.

Check out the lineup of nonprofits that have already signed up to get their name out there to donors, and take time to suggest your nonprofit. For more on the new crowdfunding site, check out the article linked below.
