With over a decade of proven fundraising experience and a love for data, Jonathan is blessed to serve nonprofits and help bolster their impact on the community. Jon enjoys helping ministries implement data-based strategies and tools to improve fundraising and organizational effectiveness. Jonathan has written articles as well as presented to local and national organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (West Michigan), Do More Good, Nonprofit Hub and the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance.
Prior to working for the Timothy Group, Jonathan’s previous work included owning and operating a fundraising consulting firm, serving as the Advancement Director for All Belong Center for Inclusive Education, and working as the Development Director for Jubilee Centers International. Jonathan is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and he holds an Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF) from Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy. Jonathan also holds a bachelor’s in business and finance from Grand Valley State University. Jon resides in Grand Rapids with his wife, daughter, and son and they are members of Grace Christian Reformed Church. When not working with nonprofit partners, you can usually find Jonathan fixing up his 1930’s Tudor-style home or traveling with his family to national parks and throughout the Great Lakes State.
