The Top 10 Corporate Philanthropists of 2013 [Infographic]

Does it seem like there’s a news story bashing companies for one business practice or another every day? Whether it’s an article talking about how companies are “skirting their tax obligations,” crippling small businesses, treating employees unfairly or a whole host of other controversial topics, there is no shortage of negative media attention on corporations.

While some of the press may be justified, it’s important to remember that many nonprofits receive generous amounts of funding from companies which have a true desire to give back to communities. The infographic below, originally published by Double the Donation, highlights the 10 companies that gave the most cash to nonprofits last year.  Also included is a highlight for each company, often times featuring the company’s generous matching gift program. While the list is comprised of well-known companies, it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that no company is too small to offer charitable giving programs.

We hope you find the statistics in the below infographic to be highly informative. Make sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section at the bottom of the page.
