According to the Foundation Center, in 2015, there were 86,203 foundations in the United States which funded grants totaling $62.8 billion. In 2019, that amount increased to $75.7 billion. Then came 2020, which felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and while many different organizations and small businesses suffered from the shutdowns, the Giving USA report says Americans gave more to charity in 2020 than in 2019! No matter the stage you are at in your organization, different grant opportunities exist and we want to share with you what’s important about navigating grant funding and how to build relationships with prospective grantors.
