This week, we sat down with Bill Stephan. Bill is the executive director and chief artistic officer of the Lied Center for Performing Arts, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Lied Center, located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s downtown campus, has been a staple to the local arts community for the last thirty years. According to Pollstar magazine, it’s ranked as one of the top 100 theatres in the world.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the entertainment industry has basically been put on hold. But the Lied Center is finding a way for the show to go on. Bill and Randy discuss some of the adjustments put in place to prevent the spread of the virus. While it’s not completely the same as before, the community is happy to have their theatre back.
Watch the video here to see their full conversation and to hear more about the inspiring ways the Lied Center has persevered this year.
